I think this video is very cool, and rather good commentary on environmental concerns. I am eating an Amy's pot pie, and happy with it. I am reading "Perks of Being a Wallflower" for the first time, and like millions out there, feel very connected. I am enjoying this book. I just had my heart broken last night. Father to little daughter: You are the most beautiful girl in this photo... and I'm not biased. (daughter smiles) Father: Do you know what "biased" means? Daughter (rolling her eyes): Yes, it means that you like both boys and girls. --F Train |

Teenager: Dude, my sister is always stealing her friends' books, but like, sometimes no one has the book she wants, how much easier would it be if there was like, a Blockbuster, but for books. --Blockbuster Teenage girl: I need Romeo and Juliet. But do you have any with, like, the English on one side and Shakespeare on the other? Girl on cell: So I told her I didn't think George Washington was a cannibal. |

Victoria's CircuitHarnessing the untapped power of breast motion.
http://www.slate.com/id/2193827/ Then one day recently I had an idea. As I rode public transportation to the office, my messenger bag slung uncomfortably across my chest, I thought, "Why not put the girls to work?" Human-powered devices are showing up everywhere, from Rotterdam's sustainable dance floor to human-powered gyms in Hong Kong. The time seemed perfect—perhaps even overdue!—for a bra that could harness the untapped power of breast motion. |

There is something poetic about two misfits, talking about their belief that they would never find someone to like them in spite of who they are, sitting on a park bench, huddled under one umbrella as the sky unfolds its passion and rage around them. I haven't felt so comfortable around someone in such a long time. For some reason, our unlikeable quirks just can't help but drag us closer to one another. |

Palm Frond Used As Weapon In 'Most Bizarre' Central Fla. Store Robbery
http://www.local6.com/news/16654677/det Police said Gelando Olivieri attempted to rob the V&F Discount Beverage store in DeLand by threatening harm with a spiked Spanish bayonet, a palmetto-like plant with sharp points on its leaves. "The man came in with the branch. I have never seen anything like this," owner Goutam Sarkar told the DeLand-Deltona Beacon Thursday. Surveillance video showed Olivieri wildly waving the palm frond in front of a worker's face. Investigators said Olivieri threatened to use the leaves to stab if he wasn't given $50. "(The plant) was sharp," Sarkar said. |

This deserves its own post
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/e “Ten years ago I could never have imagined I’d be doing this,” says Greg Pal, 33, a former software executive, as he squints into the late afternoon Californian sun. “I mean, this is essentially agriculture, right? But the people I talk to – especially the ones coming out of business school – this is the one hot area everyone wants to get into.” He means bugs. To be more precise: the genetic alteration of bugs – very, very small ones – so that when they feed on agricultural waste such as woodchips or wheat straw, they do something extraordinary. They excrete crude oil." |

Art student to friend: Did you know that our shit would be white if we didn't have bile to mix with it? Black security guard, raising fist: Black power! --School of Visual Arts
I'm wicked lame, but I am really getting excited to start teaching myself CSS. I mean, I only started learning html/xhtml two days ago, and I'm making good time. By the end of next week I want to get a working knowledge of those two, along with CSS, and Flash. At social functions people are already asking me to develop their sites. I had to decline three offers last night because I just don't have the skills. They gave me their cards and told me to contact them when I did.

Zombies are real!
http://65.127.124.62/south_asia/448 "There has been a small outbreak of “zombism” in a small town near the border of Laos in North-Eastern Cambodia. The culprit was discovered to be mosquitoes native to that region carrying a new strain of Malaria which thus far has a 100 percent mortality rate and kills victims in fewer than 2 days. After death, this parasite is able to restart the heart of its victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believed to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”" He'd make a cool zombie. |
